Polaris is a leader in the global fight to eradicate modern slavery. The organization runs the National Human Trafficking Hotline in the U.S. The hotline has handled 63,380 cases of human trafficking since 2007 - an average of 150 calls a day. Polaris coordinates with referral partners across the country for trauma-informed support, trains law enforcement officials and private-sector partners, conducts advocacy campaigns and raises awareness of human trafficking among the general public. The organization is also building one of the largest public data sets on human trafficking in the U.S., working to learn how the trafficking business really works, in real time.
